Water to ice

We put water and green dye inside a glove and then put it inside the freezer. We discussed what would happen to the water. We knew it would turn to ice but wanted to find out why water changes into ice.
We found out everything living has particles called molecules. We used drama to learn about what happens to the molecules. Their are photos of us moving around quickly and then when we get cold we move slower and stick together to freeze.

We wrote some explanations here they are:

Why does water change into ice?
We put green dye and water in a glove. The molecules started to slowly cuddle up into ice.

Why does water change into ice?
First the molecules start off fast. When you switch the tap on the molecules start to go. When you put the water in the freezer the molecules go slow.

Why does water change into ice?
The molecules move fast to stop them from freezing but when it gets put in the freezer it gets cold and the molecules all freeze to death and they stick together.

Why does water change into ice?
The molecules start to stick together.
