We went to the Dowse. Maui tried to escape the fire but it got bigger and bigger and bigger. Next we looked at the ballet dresses. There were lots of other dresses. One of the dresses was Cinderellas. It was beautiful because it was made from white silk. Finally it was time to go back on the bus to school.

On Wednesday I went to the new Dowse. When we were walking around the room I saw Maui on the T.V. Then I saw some dresses. The dresses looked beautiful. I saw Cinderella's gold dress hanging off the wall. Finally we went back to school on the bus.

Room 2 went to the Dowse Museum on Wednesday. We went to see the ballet costumes. My favourite costume was the tutu. It was silver with sparkles. Next we looked at a slipper that was hanging on the tree. The slipper belonged to Cinderella. The slipper was shiny and sparkly. After we looked at it we made kites.

Dowse Art Museum

The Junior Syndicate visited the Dowse Art Museum to see the Enchanted Forest Exhibition. The exhibition had a range of ballet costumes on show for us to look at.
We enjoyed listening to our host Jen who told us the stories behind the costumes. The students were familiar with some of the characters and the fairy tales especially Hansel and Gretal and Cinderella.
They have started writing recounts about what they saw and we will be putting them on the blog once they are finished!
